The challenge
The client had an incredibly detailed Excel form – full of input logic and topped off with a custom-built graph. They needed it transformed into a responsive web interface that worked smoothly across devices. Normally, a job like this would demand a serious amount of coding time and rounds of testing to get right.
Our approach
To speed things up, we brought in a bit of AI muscle:
- We used AI coding agents (think Replit or GitHub Copilot) to analyse the Excel logic and map out dependencies.
- The AI generated a working framework for the form and its graph, ready for our developers to refine.
- It also suggested tweaks to improve load times and layout clarity – especially important for mobile.
Because the early heavy lifting was sorted by AI, the team could spend more time testing how the interface worked across screen sizes – spotting issues early and getting ahead of client feedback.
The outcome
We delivered the prototype ahead of schedule, giving us room to polish the experience across all devices. The result felt familiar to users but much more intuitive than the original spreadsheet – and far easier to navigate. The client was impressed with the speed and quality of the transformation.
